For indoor facilities with on-site golf pros sharing fixed-location room resources, we’ve significantly enhanced the RoomBox blocking feature.
Previously: Blocking unavailable times was inconvenient and not intuitive for RoomBoxes
Now: With the new update, RoomBoxes can be blocked directly via the calendar or calendar settings, provided the new calendar and resource type “RoomBox” is used

How to configure RoomBox blocking (only recommended when collaborating with golf pros sharing fixed-location resources):
Create a RoomBox calendar:
Go to MY GOLF BUSINESS → LOCATION MANAGEMENT -> select a location → Edit Calendars → “+”
→ Choose calendar type "RoomBox". Add as many RoomBoxes as you need. For each, define the Calendar Settings and Private Appointment Types.Appoint the RoomBox calendars as a fixed-location shared resource:
Go to MY GOLF BUSINESS -> LOCATION MANAGEMENT → select a location → Define Resources
→ Add a new fixed-location resource via “+” (i.e. add as many RoomBoxes resources you have) -> select the type "RoomBox" for each. By this means, SwingWorks will be able to identify shared fixed resources. IMPORTANT: Delete any resources of the type "Resource" as originally configured and if no longer neededLink RoomBoxes to specific private lessons of your golf pros:
Select a pro calendar to be connected to a RoomBox ("Pro" calendar type) → Edit Private Appointment Types → edit the section "Connect RoomBoxes" for each lesson type
→ Either appoint each RoomBox as AddOn (optional) or Mandatory (the latter requires availability of the RoomBox during the lesson booking)Activate the new "RoomBox" appointment types for your existing memberships, and deactivate the old "Pro" appointment types. Delete the "Pro" calendars that were previously used as RoomBoxes.

Automated suggestion in the booking process
If more than one RoomBox is defined, the next available RoomBox is automatically suggested during a private lesson booking if available-
More intuitive calendar-based blocking (NEW)
Blocked RoomBoxes (shown in grey) are not available for selection during the booking process if:- The RoomBox is in use as connected to a booked service
- The RoomBox is not available for booking as managed via Availability (go to the menu CALENDAR SETTINGS for the relevant RoomBox calendar to manage available times)
- The RoomBox calendar itself has been blocked for selected time slots (events which show in "grey")
